Leeenux Linux is an operating system for netbooks, mainly for ASUS Eee PC with 7" screen, but works on all netbooks that have Intel graphics. It is based on Ubuntu and easypeasy and contains only free and open source software.


Main characteristics:

  • Uses the Ubuntu 8.04 release as a base and is modified from EasyPeasy 1.1
  • Uses netbook kernel
  • Made for Asus eee netbooks with 7" screen, but works with all the netbooks that have Intel GMA
  • Everything works Out of the box for Asus eee models with 7" screen
  • No Proprietary software, not even drivers. This means it is Free in any way
  • Uses Ubuntu Netbook Remix menu
  • Licenced under GNU General Public License version 3
  • Iso is 460MB, Installed takes up to 1.4GB
  • Uses eee-control
  • Distribution is made using remastersys remastering software
  • No Qt, Mono or Java apps
