The new ASUS Eee PC T91 is quite a remarkable Netbook, because of its Tablet design & specs. TechRadar managed to get their hands on a pre-production sample prior to its full launch at the beginning of June & while it's not quite finished.

The first thing you notice when you are looking at the T91 is the swiveling touchscreen, which covers the keyboard in a standard tablet way. It features a resistive interface, so you don't need to use the supplied stylus to interact with it; your finger, or fingernail, will do the job just as well. The touchscreen software still needs some work, but the TechRadar guys were pretty impressed.

This is the first Eee PC to use the 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, which uses less energy than the 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU found in most Eee PC models. The chipset ASUS used is the US15W chipset, which features HD video decoding capabilities so can playback 720p videos smoothly.

TechRadar was quite impressed with the T91 even when they only tried a pre-production sample. They've noted one flaw though; the T91 features a non-user removable battery. Maybe this is not the case with the final T91 when it goes on sale in June 2009.
