Hewlett Packard is considering to install Google's Android Linux Operating System onto their Netbooks.
Hewlett Packard has programmers testing Android for a potential netbook, though they haven't decided yet whether to move ahead with the project.
"We want to assess the capability Android may have for the computer and communications industries, and so we are studying it," said Satjiv Chahil (a vice president of HP's PC division) to the Wall Street Journal.
Hewlett Packard can save about $15 per netbook if they don't use Windows XP.
