EETI is working on 7 & 12 inch touch panels with multi-touch capabilities.
The next generation of netbooks could include models that not only recognize screen taps, but recognize multiple simultaneous screen taps. You see this technology already on the iPhone.
Multi-touch panels offer some advantages over single touch. You can simulate left & right-clicks if you can use more than 1 finger on the screen. Also resizing or rotating images by pinching, pulling, or spinning your fingers is possible with this technology.
Asus CEO Jerry Shen confirmed that some upcoming Eee PC models will support multi-touch.
