Kuki Linux

Kuki Linux (pronouced “cookie”) is a new Linux distribution, optimized for the Acer Aspire One netbooks.

Kuki Linux
Kuki Linux 2.0 is based on a minimal install of Ubuntu 8.10. It’s meant to be a better Linux distribution, than Linpus Lite that comes pre-installed on some Acer Aspire Ones.

It uses the lightweight Xfce user interface for the desktop environment. The bundled applications are lightweight as well.

You can just install the image, or you can install Ubuntu 8.10 on your Acer Aspire One & then install the Kuki Linux kernel on top of the Ubuntu installation. The kernel will give you most of the patches & fixes that are specific to the Acer Aspire One.

Head over here for the Kuki Linux website for installation instructions & download locations.
