Dell UK has introduced its Inspiron Mini 9 netbook, with Ubuntu Linux preinstalled.
The Mini 9 runs Ubuntu 8.04 & it's powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, has 1GB of 533MHz DDR 2 memory, & a 8.9-inch 1024x600 display with a 0.3-megapixel webcam in the bezel. The Mini 9 with Linux has a 8GB SSD & the Mini 9 with Windows XP has a 16GB SSD.
The Linux version costs £269 & the XP version of the Mini 9 costs £299 & is available now.
