The Ubuntu Eee project announced they will be selling SD cards pre-loaded with the latest version of Eee Ubuntu.

This SD card can then be inserted into the Eee PC & you can run Eee Ubuntu right off the card. With this card, anyone can now try out Linux on their Eee PCs without any technical knowledge.

You will get

  • Ubuntu Eee 8.04.1 (harder, better, faster, stronger than Ubuntu Eee 8.04)
  • Ubuntu Eee Plug-and-Play Class 6 SD card
  • To support an open source project which does everything it can to give back to it’s users

Maybe its a good idea if major distributors of the Eee PC like Dixons, or Alternate can bundle this with their Eee PC's, so people have some choice.
