According to recent studies Netbook sales were booming this year.

ASUS plans to develop an educational robot for kids called the EeeBot that uses software based on Google's Android mobile operating system.

A new report from ABI Research reveals that the overall market share for Linux on netbooks is currently at about 32.1 percent, with a little over 11 million units preloaded with Linux shipping in 2009.

Although Google Android is an operating system designed to run on smartphones, it's also possible to run it on netbooks. Earlier this year somebody already managed to install it onto an Eee PC 701. This wasn't easy though, but now the Android-x86 project provides an easy way to install it onto your netbook.
